Yanks reward soggy fans with ticket offer

The Yankees rewarded all fans holding valid tickets for Thursday’s game against the Blue Jays and who braved the inclement weather with a free ticket offer.

Fans may redeem their valid Aug. 22, 2013, tickets – regardless of whether they were used to attend the game – for a free Grandstand Level or Terrace Level ticket at Yankee Stadium to any of the games Sept. 2-4 against the White Sox, subject to availability.

Fans may also choose to use Thursday’s valid tickets as a coupon for 50 percent off the purchase price of a ticket in any other non-Suite seating location to one of the games against the White Sox, subject to availability. Please note that the Yankees can only accept tickets with valid bar codes for the game of Aug. 22, 2013.

Tickets may be redeemed or presented as a coupon at Yankee Stadium ticket windows only starting at 10 a.m. Friday, Aug. 23. Windows are open Monday through Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday and until two hours after the scheduled starting time of any home game.

wow i just saw this today but sent in my 3 tickets as soon as i got home with my 2 little boys. we waited for 2,5 hours in the rain and then left. they sure were disappointed. i hope the Yankees would take this into consideration and at least give us 3 tickets for another afternoon game. this would have been their first game and we had great seat in section 214B. it sure would have been a great day but it didnt turn out that way for the boys.
